Well into its groove now, the eatery has not only developed a solid reputation as a great happy hour spot, but it’s also expanding its offerings to include Sunday brunch beginning in October.

A delicious new tapas bar brought the flavors of Spain to South Austin this summer when Barlata opened its doors in July. Well into its groove now, the eatery has not only developed a solid reputation as a great happy hour spot, but it’s also expanding its offerings to include Sunday brunch beginning in October. In the meantime, evening hours will have to suffice if you want a taste of Spanish favorites like paella, patatas brava, Iberian ham, and of course, all the tempranillo, cava and other “tintos” (red wines) you can handle. Barlata also boasts an extensive dessert, coffee and cordial list to end the night on a sweet Spanish note.
